A classic American Porter with a twist: we added over a pound per barrel each of cocoa nibs and peanut butter. This beer is dark and roast, yet light in body. The dark chocolate and peanut notes build as you drink it and really come to life once it has warmed ever so slightly. While the beer has its inspiration from the land of candy, this is not a sweet dessert beer, it is intended to be a everyday/all night drinker.

On tap at Ritual Tavern. Dark reddish brown in the pint shaker. Modest but persistent foam. Pleasantly carbonated with a fine prickle. Not much aroma. Distinct cocoa taste with a winey hint.
Larger mouthful of malt with some lingering sweetness. A little bland and flabby after some sipping. Still, there is a hint of tanginess. Just a suggestion of burnt barley. The chocolate gets distracting and I wish it would go away. A slight bitter coffee flavor but no suggestion of hops. I didn't taste any peanut butter, and since the bar description was just "Rhesus Porter," it never occurred to me.
