Pours a nice, clear, red with some medium brown throughout. Head built rather high with a slightly aggressive pour but dissipates to a somewhat chunky, thick film of light tan color.
Smell is a little weak but the balance is good. Notes of lightly roasted malts, nut, and caramel.
Taste has a pretty good balance, as well. Malt, hops, nuts, caramel.
Watery, but with the expected level of effervescence. Body is about as light as I've ever come across for the style. The drying finish is nicely done, leaving a mellow, lingering aftertaste.

Freya's Stone is very comparable to the other solid Lore beer I had last month or so. It's a medium-bodied, malt-forward beer that's very tasty and drinkable. The aftertaste is rather nice, with a lingering toasty malt note that isn't overpowering. Very much in the classic Amber style, but well-done and tasty.

Bottle from Whole Foods in Lexington, poured into a flight glass.
This was a slightly above average beer, as you can see from the ratings. The caramel and biscuit maltiness are not exactly my thing, but it is a flavorful beer that is easy to drink. I like it, but won't seek it out.
