Style: American Pale Ale (APA)

Alcohol by volume (ABV): 5.80%

Availability: Year-round

Notes / Commercial Description:
Coastal Empire Pale Ale pours a clear amber color. It has big citrus aroma with a hint of herbal and spice notes. This is followed up with a big citrus hop flavor with undertones of earthy and spicy hops. The malt balances well with a slight caramel taste that is not present enough to detract from the bitterness.

A pleasant pale ale that ran somewhat true to the desciption in its entry. It is darker than a typical pale ale. I feel the hops contribution to the flavor and finish is a slightly too light. It drinks like a session ale. The higher ABV does take it away from being a sessions ale.
