this isnt great, but im not sure its supposed to be, its just a yellow beer, a macro alternative thats intentionally plain, but interestingly, its not all that minimal, nor is it that drinkable, there is a cheapness to it that i dont like, and i sort of had a back and forth reaction with my brother to every can as we drank through the six pack. the first ones were grainy and adjuncty at the same time, a tad sweet, and oddly yeasty, or even stressed during the ferment as we drank them, not real great after a couple of much better examples of the style right before it. the middle ones were better, after drinking more robust fruited sours and ipa types and such, they hit cleaner than the first ones did, more mineral than metallic, and with more refreshment value, faster finishing, the carbonation is an asset to these for sure, a top asset. finally, the last round of cans a few days later was sort of a mix of the two prior experience, this is in fact a cheapy, but its got some redeeming features. the water chemistry and the ferment both seem a little rough and ready, but i do like the cereal character being a little more bold in this, i like the hops being held way back, and i like the overall earthiness this hits with. it tastes fresh, its lively feeling, and its light bodied even at its worst. more flavor, unexpected flavor, than a lot of its peers, not great beer, but it served its purpose tolerably well. easily my least favorite beer i had from these guys while i was in georgia though...
