this is a sweet and somewhat over flavored kettle sour, but its pretty in the glass, on trend, summery, and clean on the souring, so better than most out there, even if its not exactly what i look for in this sort of thing, doesnt seem like real fruit, strawberry, watermelon, and coconut are the tigers blood flavors, a great combination, but its more like flavoring syrup than real fruit to me, too sugary, too red, jewel or stained glass toned, clearish, ruby, just a tad thin, and with okay carbonation but not holding much head at all, sexy and highly saturated color though, which also makes me think not real fruit. it smells like hawaiian punch, generic red berries, strawberry is not really appreciable specifically, but coconut is, and watermelon too a little bit, integrated well, not much grain there but it is a little stronger than is common in the style, no hops, clean bacterial sourness, thats it. the flavor is all sugar, the layers of added flavor are not layers at all, they are all one thing, hit all at once, and stay for a long time. this is tart but not sour enough to balance the sweet. as such its a bit cheap tasting, forced, and even though its definitely good, its like a kids drink not a beer. very little malt, only the clean souring, somewhat feminine, not totally genuine, but i like the taste. there is obviously a target market for this, and they have catered to it well, but one and done for me...
