A special Dia De Los Muertos release inspired by the Mexican dish Mole Poblano, this imperial stout was brewed with ingredients from our Innovation Brewer Rafael’s secret family mole recipe. These included palm sugar, nutmeg, clove, star anise, cinnamon, avocado leaves, and dried chile peppers. It was then aged in Patrón Añejo barrels on cacao nibs. The result is a spectacular medium-bodied celebration of cinnamon, warming spices, oak, cocoa, caramel, and agave.

Bottle. Dark brown black color. Tan head.

Very complex and flavorful. The patron barrels really shine. Has a smokey, charred flavor. Cinnamon/spices, cocoa, and peppers are all there. Caramel and chocolate. Maybe a touch of vanilla.

Strong, warming, spirit forward finish. Nice body, not super thick, but full bodied.

Love the tequila, love the peppers. The more you drink the spicier it gets. Kind of builds on the tongue.
