Well done, black with cocoa and fruit nose, deliciously sour with cask aged based underlying giving a slight smokiness. My favorite of the afternoon of four nice Burley Oak brews at the brewery taproom

A sour stout, brewed by these Burley people who know a thing or 19 about sour beers. The color is a deep brown, with a bit of head and not much lacing. The creamy mouthfeel you may think you'd get with a milk stout is replaced by a crispness that is refreshing and very enjoyable. Sour enough to be different without *too* much funk. A very different stout with tons of flavor. Enjoyed on tap in the tasting room.

They used their house cultured lactobacillus on their super fun milk stout base and then age it in funky barrels for several months, sweet and tart! Had it again and still killin it
