Bought from a 16oz 4 pack. Looks like a Vienna Lager or English IPA in the glass. Smell is nothing like a saison or Belgian. Getting alot of caramel and malt bomb. Taste really brings this beer to life. It's a nice full bodied beer, quite smooth and sweet and the Belgian yeast is slightly noticed with a little hop crispness in the finish. A decent beer. Nothing spectacular but still tasty.

From a can. Purchased from the brewery on April 12, 2016 on the way back from a long weekend on the Delmarva. Tasted on April 9. Poured into a nonic pint glass.
Very reminiscent of a hefeweizen but misses the mark for either a rye or a saison. Great looking beer and the funk is very evident in the aroma and taste but the brewers have not melded the rye spicey aroma and flavors with that funk. This beer just doesn't work for me. A funky hefeweizen without the massive head. I guess this is what you get when you combine rye malt with saison yeast. Not a drain pour by any means but not a purchase I would make again. 3.25
A – Pours a slightly hazy but otherwise clear golden orange with a two-finger off-white moussey head. 3.75
S – Funk, spice, but very hefe-like with yeasty aromas of wheat, bananas and a tinch of clove. 3.5
T – Cereal, slightly spicy (less than the aroma), no fruit, decent herbal bitterness. 3.25
MF – Medium light body with a dry finish. Smooth, but coating with a faintly metallic feel. Average carbonation gives this beer some bite when combined with the spice. 3.25

Not expecting a Rye saison...but actually thought it worked. Had on tap at the Blacksmith in Berlin, MD. It worked great with food. Especially with crispy pork belly , pickled veggies and Asian sesame rice noodles.
