This American Pilsner is named after our co-worker Bill, who has asked us to make a Pilsner for over a year. Brewed with Pilsner malt and toasted wheat, this light, crushable beer is a crisp, and refreshing type deal.

L: pale yellow with little lasting head. Opaque almost like a witbeir.
S: picking up regular lager smells with a hint of lemon.
T: I get the lemon… thinking of a sour or Berliner Weiss
M: smooth with lemony pucker
O: comes across clean and crisp. More shandy-like than Pilsner. Fine beer to drink on a hot day but not true to the style

Draft pour into a taster glass.
Pale straw yellow appearance with a foamy white head. Grass, cracker, lemon, tea notes. Medium body, medium carbonation, crisp and creamy.

This one was super drinkable flor me. The carbonation is high, and the flavor is minimal but enough. This isn't anything special but it is solid for the style.

A thanks to the creator of the canquest, woodychandler, for this beer. Poured from a 12 oz.can. Has a golden color with a 1 inch head. Smell is of malts, a bit grassy. Taste is malts, crackers, highly refreshing. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a quality beer.

12 ounce can poured into a Pilsner glass.
Canned 8/5/20

Decent Americanized German-ish Pilsner. Crisp and refreshing but not one I reach for when I want to enjoy a great Pilsner. However, due to its low ABV, decent flavor and drinkability from the can I find it to be a great boat beer. Also goes well with steamed crabs.

From the can, pours a clear very pale straw color. A modest head rapidly dissipates.

The nose opens with a touch of grass, followed by biscuity, toasty and bready malt aromas. Later, there are notes of floral hops spices.

Clean flavors highlight dry cracker and lightly toasted bready malts that are semi sweet. Well balanced with grassy hops and peppery spices, a touch of bitterness and floral and lemony hops flavors. Light bodied and crisp mouthfeel. The carbonation is moderate and not too fizzy.

Decent interpretation of a German Pilsner. Simply crafted but easy to drink.

** ABV listed as 4.20. I know what these guys like to do on 4/20

This a very cool brewery. However this beer is a disappointment. It is fizzy when first poured and then becomes flat. The taste is ok but who wants to drink a flat beer?

Clear golden body with white frothy head that sticks around. Aroma of honey grain, cherries, light lemon, grass. Tastes of honey grain, grass, light lemon notes, and light cherry, dry in the aftertaste. Light bodied with light carbonation.

I am stoked to try this latest Pilsner in support of The CANQuest (tm) that I found during my last visit to The Beer & Beverage Shoppe! I CAN't find enough Pilsners to satiate my interest in the style.

From the CAN: "Locals Supporting Local"; "Bilsner American Pilsner"; "This American Pilsner is named after our co-worker Bill, who has asked us to make a Pilsner for years. Brewed with Pilsner malt and toasted wheat, this crushable beer is a crisp, and refreshing type deal."

I had a wee accident in which the CAN fell out of the reefer & dented. 8=( As such, I gave it plenty of calming time, but when Crack!ing open the vent, I got a spritz due to its being slightly CANpacted. I went directly to a slow, gentle C-Line Glug into my favorite Pilsner glass. This resulted in the formation of a rolling, roiling finger of fizzy, foamy, bone-white head that quickly reduced to wisps. Color was Pale-Straw (SRM = 1 - 2) with NE-quality clarity. Nose was very bready with hardly any perceptible hops bitterness. Mouthfeel was thin-to-medium, not watery, but not far beyond it. The taste was rather light, bready at best, but rather lackluster overall. Finish was semi-sweet & I felt unfulfilled. YMMV.

This beer was slightly forgettable as nothing really stood out for me except the name of the Brass balled SOB who named it after himself. It's light crisp and chug able with no offensive grain or skunk aftertaste so in my opinion it was pretty tasty
