On tap at Himmeriget.
Pours an unclear orange with some fine, wispy foam.
Smell is tart with big washes of cherry, lime and youghurt.
Taste follows the nose and adds a perfect level of acid and a cherry pie note on the dry finish.
Mouthfeel is medium, creamy and well carbonated.
Overall, a real treat of a Berliner/Gose, great stuff.

kinda hard to knock this one. poolside sipper all day. tart, dry & refreshing. light, hazy appearance w/ a quickly disappearing head. good carb. salt flavor is there..more-so once warms. worth trying.

An interesting experiment but not my favorite sour beer from Burley Oak by a long shot. You can definitely taste the lime and salt but the sourness in what is basically a margarita beer doesn't quite work for me. Not bad but could definitely be better.

Burley Oak Brewery "Mexi Trip"
on tap at the brewery on 20 June 2017
Notes: 4 IBUs. Hazy yellow body beneath a short head of bright white that falls readily to a thin collar. Only tiny spots of lace are left behind. Chalky, fruity aroma. Lime and salt in the flavor with something more earthy as well. Very tart. Light bodied. Dry acidic finish. Interesting.
