12oz can purchased from the fridge as a single for $2.85. No canned on date. I purchased this 6 to 9 months ago.

Look: Pours a light straw color with nice clarity and a thick, fluffy white head. After pouring the bottom of the can, there is just the faintest bit of haze.

Smell: Nice, bright lime notes. Smells like a mixture of juice and zest (which is representative of kaffir lime leaf). Notes of white grape also. Has a nice crackery malt along with a bit of limey acidity. It smells really refreshing!

Taste: Mmmm, this is really good. It's relatively simple. It's a crisp, light pilsner that is conditioned on kaffir lime leaf. It has a gentle acidity and finishes dry with some earthy Noble-hop bitterness and nice, fragrant notes of lime zest. The finish is tannic-like because it has a nice mouth-drying effect.

Feel: It's light bodied but not watery at all. Perfectly carbonated.

Overall: A very tasty, light, refreshing, citrusy pilsner. Very crushable.

Draft pour into a taster glass.
Pale straw yellow appearance with a foamy white head. Grass, cracker, lemon, tea notes. Medium body, medium carbonation, crisp and creamy.

So this is the second pilsner from this brewer that I have purchased in the last twenty four hours. I like the bread note in the nose but the carbonation kind of neutralizes it in the flavor. The interesting thing in the taste is the tart snap that reminds me almost of a gose, and would be ideal in a few months. This is easy drinking beach beer, and it has its place.

 

Wow, a light(ish) Pilsner “for heavy drinkers, says the can. This is eminently drinkable with a nice nose of corn and bready malts. Has a slightly tart bitterness to it which makes it crushable on hot days at the beach which appears to be the target audience. I think I’d buy this year round. Well done.
