The beverage, poured from a pint can into a clear glass Imperial pint mug is a dull and fairly opaque golden orange. There's plenty of carbonation producing no head, nor lacing. It smells like a fruited sour, plus there's discernable cinnamon and vanilla. Even with the thousands of brews with added flavors, this has a unique aroma. Orange may dominate, but it's a complex smell. The taste is more sweet than tart and certainly not sour. But, it's tart enough so it isn't overly sweet. It's actually pleasant tasting, with everything contributing to the overall taste. None of it, including the orange is dominate. The passionfruit adds its character, the cinnamon, brown sugar and vanilla are there in light doses. It probably smooths the overall taste and mouthfeel out a bit, but the lactose doesn't interfere in the taste. Mostly a consistent taste throughout, the tartness gets to have the last say to the taste buds at the finish. Again, this is never very tart, but that aspect is more noticeable at the finish. Maybe it doesn't actually taste like a orange-passionfruit cheesecake, but it does give a glimpse. Fun, but maybe a little too sweet and lactose sticky to have regularly. Still, worth an occasional try.
