Had on-tap at Burley Oak.
Poured into a snifter. Pours a dark brown black color with a cream frothy head. Smells is of roasted malts with a faint scent of chocolate. Taste has some bitter/hopness to it along with a good roastiness. Average mouthfeel for the style.
From Burley Oak's description:
Dark malted barley blends with piney and citrusy Centennial and Simco hops to give this beer a distinct complexity. Your first sip starts off roasty and ends with a hoppy bitterness. Take an exodus from the norm with this unique beer.
