This Burley interpretation of a 16th century German style uses 55% local wheat, and has undergone an initial pre-boil fermentation with lactobacillus bacteria to give it it's signature dry, puckering and refreshing character. This unique beer has been bottle conditioned with Champagne yeast to import it’s signature effervescence.

On tap at Himmeriget.
Pours a clear yellow with very little head.
Smell is tart with notes of apples and oranges, and a hint of pie crust.
Taste is delightfully tart and crisp, with notes of youghurt, raspberries, apples and lemon. Very refreshing with just a little hint of citrus peel bitterness.
Mouthfeel is thin to medium, well carbonated.
Overall, a terrific Berliner, refreshing and full of flavor.

I enjoyed this from the bottle in a glass chilled.
The color is golden with light haze and white head with lasting retention. The smell has a gentle floral and slightly citrus/lemon-like aroma. The feel is very good with light body and mild sour quality with semi-dry finish and moderate carbonation.
The taste is good with mild flavor of funk and gentle sour flavor with a lactic quality and subtle dry flavor in the finish but overall a refreshing Berliner. This is worth having again, I really enjoyed the flavor and it holds true to the style.

Thanks Tommyguz for hooking me up with this. 750ml bottle poured into a tulip appears a golden color with quick fading white cap.
It smells lemony lactic like greek yogurt and has a bit of cider note about it as it warms up.
The taste is tart and lemony like greek yogurt with slight fruity character like apple and pear. The aftertaste is a little like cider with a vinegar bite yet there is a hint of buttery grain sweetness too.
This is light in body with prickly short lived carbonation per the style. It is pleasantly tart and quite enjoyable.

Such perfect balance. Nicely tart without a ton of bready quality you find in many Berliner. Notes of apricot skin, lemon, Granny Smith, cracker. Super effervescent.
