From the land of the kiwi comes this fruity IPA. Apteryx prominently features Nelson Sauvin hops, famous for their stamp of tropical fruit flavours and aromas of freshly crushed grapes. Fill a handle and shout one to your mate. This IPA is sweet as.

Pours a transparent, coppery body with lots of off-white, soapy head. The scent brings up strong lime, pine, and dankness, it is definitely evident this will be a strong IPA. The taste is crazy bitter and slightly dank, not really offering much in the way of the fruity character as promised. Overall not too impressed, but I'll blame it as an old bottle

This one surprised me - I really liked it!
Tropical fruit notes predominate but it finishes very dry. I like that. A lot.
Shortly after this I had a Fat Tug. The Fat Tug is considerably more complex and is overall a better beer, but this has its own charm and there would be circumstances where I might even choose this over a Fat Tug.

Awesome. Can't really expand much on what anyone else has said here - this is original, unique and exquisite.

L: Clear yellow with a slight white head that disappeared quickly but left a small layer on the top.
S: Citrus hops with a slight piny smell.
T: Bitterness with a strong taste of pine.
F: light bodied with a fair amount of carbonation.
O: Not to bad of a beer, fairly enjoyable.

Props to joemcgrath27 for this treat. Pours a slightly hazy golden colour, thumb of soapy head with solid retention and nice sheeting lacing. Nose is loaded with sweet citrus and hints of pineapple and mango. Nice tart citrus rind off the top and a solid dose of fruity mango that lingers alongside tart citrus and musty caramel. Medium bodied, smooth and a touch of dryness. A very solid IPA and very worthy of picking up. Stoked to have gotten a chance to try it.
