Scan through the static and discover the Short Wave. This wireless beer transmitter pours a beautiful sunset orange colour with a pillow white head. A medium, malt-forward body is electrified with bright citrus hops until sweetness and bitter are dialed to balance.

Short Wave fills my glass light copper in color with a slight haziness to it. The head is rocky, off white, and lasting.
The aroma is fragrant and enticing. Aromas of malt come in first laying a base of grain as well as soda crackers. Hops come through next, smelling of ripe, juicy oranges and other citrus. In the center I also find hints of caramel and what could be just a whiff of something nutty. The finish is citrus and hints of peppercorn.
On the tongue, Short Wave is smooth, crisp, and lightly carbonated. As with the nose, malt flavors make themselves known first. Unlike the nose, those flavors lean more towards caramel with flavors of soda cracker lending support. As flavors more towards the center I get just a hint of something leathery before things move into a finish that is crispand bitter.
So far, this is my favorite beer from Phillips brewing. It tastes exactly like a good, well balanced, American style pale ale. Flavor and aroma are delicate, balanced, and still contribute really good character to the overall experience.

Hazy honey golden with lots of fine bubbled carbonation, and topped with 3 fingers of yellowish head.
Smells of pine and citrus, with a bit of malt, lemon, honey and dankness.
Tastes of honey, lemon and pine.
Medium body with moderate carbonation. Slightly tannic finish.
Got this in Bracebridge, ON, today and drinking it on Lake Rousseau at the boathouse, May 20th, 2018. Really refreshing for a warm spring day, surrounded by sunshine, waves and a light breeze.

Can - pours a cloudy orange-amber color with a smallish off white cap which reduces to a surface lace after a couple of sips. Aroma is pungent - fills the room as it warms with citrus-rising dough aromas - nosing the glass you get a more complex aroma with sweet breads, peach, pear, some musty yeastiness and lemon grass even some light nutmeg tones - Medium bodied well balanced, flavorful character - Flavor is wonderfully balanced from the front through the finish - a complimentary mix of sweet and bready malts play off against fruity-citrusy hops and moderate bittering - soft mouth feel, very satisfying for a lower ABV APA

Pours a golden clear with a puffy white head of three fingers. Lacing is quite good. Nose is malts and citrus (grapefruit mostly) heavy with not much else going on. Taste is unoffending and uninspiring. The nose comes through but there is not much there other than the malts and accompanying hops. A decent feel, with about medium body and carbonation.
It just left me wondering where the rest was. It came up a little short.
