Say hello to our little friend! Scarfface is snow-packed with enough cranberry and citrus to make a bad guy feel good, and is a welcome break from the heavy winter ales.
Pouring a soft melon orange colour with a pillow white head, aromas of fresh oranges and fruity esters lead to a sweet orange wheat body, that finishes with a crisp cranberry tartness.

An overall good choice for lovers of witbier who are interested in trying a variation on the style. The beer has enough fruitiness to make it interesting without overpowering the flavour to the point where it would be no longer recognizable as a witbier. The beer drinks smooth and has a nice refreshing aspect over even high quality witbiers. Give it a go if you find it.

Available in 473 ml cans in a four pack.
A: Cloudy amber, off-white head. Maybe amber isn't quite the right word. It's got a slightly pinkish hue instead of being golden.
S: Mandarin orange, wheat, maybe some yeast. I'm not sure I pick up the cranberry. Quite fragrant though.
T: Orange and wheat. Very fruity, but again, I don't really pick up the cranberry. Maybe I'm expecting too much? The only cranberry beer I've had has been a sour.
F: Very smooth, a bit creamy.

650ml bottle, a self-described lighter winter offering, made with cranberry and orange, two of the admittedly lower-calorie foodstuffs abounding right now. Entertaining mixed-meme branding going on here, it would seem.
This beer pours a hazy, very pale orangish pink colour, with two fingers of puffy, loosely foamy, and somewhat bubbly off-white head, which leaves some distant island profile lace around the glass as it quickly blows off.
It smells of sweet mandarin orange and tangerine citrus flesh, a touch more acerbic cranberry juice, lightly spicy wheat malt, sugary coriander/clove and white pepper spice, and some mild earthy and leafy hop bitterness. The taste is bready, kind of doughy toasted wheat, grainy malt, a muddled citrus and tart red berry fruitiness, faint earthy yeast, a subtle coriander and indistinct table pepper mill spiciness, and weak leafy and faintly herbal hops.
The carbonation is quite mouth-filling with its roving and prodding frothiness, the body medium-light in weight, and generally smooth, with a tame airy creaminess arising as things warm up a tad. It finishes off-dry, the lingering tartness of citrus and cranberry alike keeping the lights on just a bit longer.
Overall, a decent attempt to craft a seasonal brew on the lighter side of the spectrum, and not just go all ape-shit mad with the hops. Nice and fruity, in a balanced way, and easy enough to drink, but it does do a wee bit too much to remind me of what else is out there, in the same manner that having a mandarin orange makes you aware of all that chocolate kicking about.
