For our 15th Anniversary we’re flipping tradition. Instead of an IPA hop monster, this soured ale is light in body with a soft tartness that finishes clean. Sometimes the right side up is upside down.

Not sure what everyone else is talking about. The Brett in this sticks out like a brown thumb. I think the worst part was the aroma. I couldn't even smell the beer once it warmed. Not pleasant at all, overly catty. Also this was a bit weak on the alcohol for a Berlin Erin Weiss. This is the first time I've been disappointed with philips. Still a fan though

Clear gold, with a white head. Sustained head, great lace.
Aroma has a nice leathery quality, light lemon and crusty bread.
Taste is fairly bready, but in a domestic malt sort of way. Light leather, gentle tartness. Great to see a new world 'Berliner' with some Brett.
Moderate body is perhaps a bit heavy for the style.

Dandy beer - befitting for an always-interesting brewery. This style has certainly grown on me and it is the ideal thirst quencher for a summer day. I like how the central elements (pithy malt, citrus juice, green jolly rancher) meld into a restrained and agreeable brew. This was the brew that got me through the encores of the final Tragically Hip concert. "It's been a pleasure doing business with you."

650ml bottle poured into Sam Adams pint glass.
Pours a clear golden yellow with three fingers of fluffy white head that leaves storm cloud lace as it recedes.
Smells of lemon meringue pie, grapefruit zest, light grainy malt and gentle sour cream.
Tastes of muddled tart citrus juice, (mostly lemon), spiced pie crust malt, more sour cream and mild white cheese funk.
Feels light and soft. Light bodied with creamy carbonation. Finishes off-dry.
Verdict: Highly recommended. Light, mild and refreshing.

650ml bottle, their 15th brewing anniversary, and like the description sez, no typical hop behemoth this time, just more bandwagon jumping with the whole low ABV sour thing.
This beer pours a mostly clear, pale golden yellow colour, with a rising tower of puffy, finely foamy, and somewhat creamy bone-white head, which leaves some stringy cobweb lace around the glass as it evenly sinks away.
It smells of lemon and underripe white grapefruit zest, grainy pale and wheat malt, a subtly musty yeastiness, and maybe a hint of soured milk. The taste is bready and doughy pale malt, a lesser edgy wheatiness, gently funky yeast, muddled citrus fleshy notes, and more ephemeral spoiled milkiness.
The carbonation is actually fairly tame (after that aggressive opener) in its understated frothiness, the body a decent medium weight, and more or less smooth, with a wee airy creaminess trying oh so hard to get 'er going. It finishes off-dry, but barely, as that dull hum that is the sourness here starts to overcome the lingering malt.
Overall, this is certainly how I like my sour brews - refreshing, and low-key on the acridity, especially that of the Brettanomyces variety. Anyways, this is a nice summertime imbiber, easy to drink, and not really requiring any special syrup adjustments in the least.
