On tap at the Tap Shack in Vancouver. Dazed and Co-Brewed is a Tap & Barrel collabration with Phillips Brewing, celebrating their (Tap & Barrel's) 5-year anniversary. It pours a nice hazy amber with a decent off-white head and outstanding lacing. Initial impression is juicy, juicy citrus with a nice underlying sweet biscuit maltiness - very little bitterness. Mouthfeel is just bordering on oily and viscous, yet refreshing and very easy to drink. Finish is clean and citrusy.
I'm visiting Vancouver from Pennsylvania. I've had a lot of "east coast IPAs" and - despite being a western emulation - Dazed and Co-Brewed squarely hits the mark, and perhaps raises the bar a bit. It could go haed-to-head with some of the netter New England IPAs in my opinion - this is a really good IPA. I just hope they decide to brew it again (and maybe distribute it on the East Coast??).
