Appearance - Pours a hazy pineapple with four fingers of frothy foamy white head.
Smell - citrus and tropical hops, citrus, pineapple, orange peel, bready malts, and earthy yeast.
Taste - citrus and tropical hops upfront followed by the citrus, pineapple, and orange peel. The bready malts and earthy yeast round out the brew.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Finishes dry with the fruits and hops lingering.
Overall - An enjoyable Benefit Brew that takes elements of both the Kölsch style and NE Pale Ale/IPA. I like how the citrus fruits play a big role in this beer. Well deserved proceeds go to the Oldman Watershed Council in Southern Alberta. I will enjoy this brew on this summery evening here in Cowtown.
