Emerging in perfect alignment, Eclipse features a light, up-front mouthfeel that’s silky smooth and rounded out by a robust roasted malt profile. Eclipse is a gastro-logical event not to be missed and well worth a trip to the dark side of the moon.

Can shared by MrBarleywine, thanks for the opportunity!
Inky black color with a small tan head that shows moderate retention. Silky creamy mouth with creamed coffee roast and earth.

Pours a jet black with a nice dense tan head. Smells of coffee and strong roasted malt. The taste follows suite, it is definitely malt forward as the majority of the taste upfront is the roasted malt and then the coffee and some dark chocolate follow it up. I love the mouth feel on this brew!! It is silky smooth with a medium carbonation that just feels so so nice.

Overall I really enjoyed this beer!! Not as sweet as I thought it would be but in a good way. I liked the malt forward approach instead of just blasted with sweetness. Very nice, would recommend.

Phillips Brewing 'Eclipse Black Velvet Stout' @ 4.5% , served from a 473 ml can
A-pour is a dark cola brown from the can to almost black in the glass with a small size tan head , dissipating leaving a fine spotty lace along the tulip
S-dark roasted coffee
T-malt forward , roasted coffee , bitter chocolate , dry finish
MF-ok carbonation , medium body
Ov-just an ok beer , not so creamy smooth sweet/milk stout
