I had this on tap at Smoken Bones, brewed by Phillips. The beer poured a medium red/amber with a nice head. The aroma is malty, with some caramel, dark fruits and a nutty character. The flavor is caramel malt, and dark fruit, with a distinct nutty finish, similar to Blue Buck. Hop flavor is mild, and there is just enough bitterness to balance. Overall nothing to seek out, but it went well with the barbecue.
