Poured from a 650ml bottle. Good for Phillips for trying this. They used fresh picked spruce tips to brew this beer. It definitely smells quite "foresty." Spruce is such an unusual aroma for a beer that it's hard to sense much beyond that. Same thing with the flavour of this. It is *strongly* flavoured with spruce, which means you don't get cheated on the "evergreen" part of this ale, but if the taste of wood or trees or the forest is off-putting to you, you might want to avoid this. We can't see drinking much more than a taste of this.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
