L: Dark black with two fingers of light brown head that leaves some nice lacing down the side of it. Also leaves a nice layer across the whole beer.
S: I smell dark coffee expresso with a touch of cocoa. But the fiance smells olives and soya sauce... Also pregnant so maybe just what I should go get her....
T: Super bitter right of the front, but it has a super strong coffee taste to it and expresso. Not much chocolate going on in there.
F: Full body mouth feel with moderate amount of carbination.
O: Still one of my favorite Phillips beers, and I've had a fair amount ;P

Pours a dark black with a small tan head. Notes of coffee, roasted malt, and chocolate on the aroma. Tastes like a espresso with a roasted malt finish. The "Imperial" status is very well hidden in this beer. Overall, an excellent Imperial Coffe Stout!

A- This pours with rich, deep black coloring and reminds me of motor oil...awesome! The head is tan colored, and starts out a couple of fingers thick of dense foam, eventually settling into a thick cloud film over the brew! Lacing is impressive with many small patches of bubbly goodness clinging to the side of the glass, forming a design that is abstract, and the carbonation is not really noticed.
S- The first and dominant aroma is freshly ground dark roast coffee beans that are slightly oily.....super rich for sure. Added notes of high cocoa content chocolate, burnt malt, char, nutty molasses and a dry finish. This is awesome!
T- Espresso, when tasted with the foam, is the essence of this brew! Almost pure cocoa, but smooth, heavily toasted malt and black coffee make up the backbone of the flavor....it is so integrated and work well with one another...this is a super beer flavor wise! The finish is dry chocolate covered coffee bean....this is amazing!
M/O- I cant believe this is 8% alcohol....superbly well hidden! This is super smooth in both carbonation and in body....which I'd put at full. If this is available on tap, I'd be in heaven! I will buy this again most definitely and think it goes excellent with a bakers chocolate, which I had it with, or could go well as a beef stew ingredient! I could drink this all night! Anybody who likes a good stout should try this!
