Poured on-tap at the brewery as part of their "Barrel Day" and served as a half-pour in a shaker pint, the beer is jet black, with a foamy, clingy, off-white head. Nose of tart raspberry, bittersweet chocolate, hints of coffee, and subtle spicy whiskey notes. Flavors are spiced forward, with a quick follow of bittersweet chocolate, tart raspberry, spiced whiskey, woody notes, and a boozy warmth. Wow, this is amazing! The body is smooth, slightly dry, with a chocolate, raspberry, and whiskey linger. Smooth, layered, lingering finish. Really great beer!
