Hardywood Tropication is a definitive liquid recess. Heaps of Mosaic and Nelson Sauvin hops send a wave of tropical fruit aromatics that burst on the palate with notes of passionfruit, lychee, mango, pineapple and lime. Smooth, bright and super juicy, Tropication is an exotic escape from the daily grind.

Included in a mixed twelve pack picked up Friday afternoon at Downtown Crown in Gaithersburg. Big fluffy head and neon yellow color. Huge tropical note as promised; passionfruit and pineapple are prominent. The hops are heavy with herbal and medicinal qualities. The aftertaste has a solid resin quotient. This nails the style pretty spot on but not sure why this isn't considered NEIPA.

HAZY JUICY 6/18/24. Poured into a Samuel Adams Perfect Pint.
A: Slightly hazy gold with one finger of white frothy head with average retention and skimpy lacing.
S: Aroma Is strong with hop notes of pineapple, lime, fruit punch, orange, and lighter amounts of candied peaches. Low esters and alcohol sweetens.
T: Flavor is an even mix of pale maltiness with flashes of lime, pineapple, lemongrass, and peach with and herbal, grassy finish. Esters are more evident on flavor with popsicle sweetness, enhanced by a kiss of alcohol.
M: I like the more full feel with a more ale-like feel with medium-full body and soft carbonation.
O: Tropication packs a variety of flavors across the hop continuum, the maltiness is a surprising note that makes this beer a unique hazy brew.

A- huge fluffy head, opaque hazy color of golden wheat. Looks good
S- citrusy pineapple, tangerine, underlying notes of pine
T-pineapple hits up front, with lots of tangerine and orange with some pine bitterness rounding into it. Good
M- a little weak
O- a good hazy but doesn’t set itself apart in a crowded style

Poured from pony bottle into tulip glass. Hazy, honey color with fluffy cream colored head that dissapated slowly to ring. Heavy fruit and juice aroma with a taste that followed the nose. Juicy feel to it but with a clean finish.
Nice refreshing brew that I could easily picture sipping on a beach.

At the West Creek brewery.
Deep copper with one of the creamiest fawn heads ever. Ever.
Dried apricots, lemonade, pineapple, soft grain notes.
White grape, dried apricot, soft, but solid bitterness.
Soft, velvety mouthfeel with creamy carbonation.
Very nicely put together IPA, though not exceptionally tropical. It’s got beautiful lacing.

From the bottom of the can: "CANNED ON 05/30/19 1532 L1"
Appearance: The body is a deep bronze color that has a slight haze. The head is short, white, and creamy textured. Although the head is short it has very good retention and lacing.
Aroma: It smells a bit like old pine wood, dusty bookshelves, a bit of caramel, and a light bit of grapefruit peel.
Taste: There is a caramel flavor with some hop bine oil flavor. The finish has a strong mint and bay leaf flavor which is heavier on the bay leaf. It is an interesting beer but despite the can being called "TROPICATION" it doesn't taste tropical.
Mouthfeel: It is a smooth beer that is easy to drink, with a medium bitterness and a good level of carbonation
Overall: The beer tastes a lot more like herbal seasonings than it does a beer geared towards tropical flavors. It is a nice flavorful beer that is worth drinking but it won't deliver that namesake tropical vibe that one expects.
