Pouring from a 16 oz. can into a Willi Becher glass this beer pours out a deep amber color. It’s slightly hazy with some highlights. Rocky and sporadic two finger width crown. Leaves some lacing.

The smell is citrus upfront with slight pine behind it. Some sweetness is showing up, kind of caramel, honey like.

The taste brings more of the sweetness up front and lets the citrus is in the backseat. Slightly toasted caramel. Pine still making a little appearance.

The mouthfeel is wet and sticky. Full bodied with some bitterness.

Overall, I like the different aspects this beer brings. The sweetness is unique.

Appearance - pours slightly cloudy deep amber color wit a thick off white head. Spotty stringy lacing.

Aroma - Light pine, floral, malt, caramel, mild grapefruit and citrus peel.

Taste - Lots of grapefruit, orange, citrus peel, malt and caramel. Traditional west coast IPA flavors. Pine and nice grassy hops

Feel - Medium bodied well carbonated slightly dry bitter finish.

Overall - Well done DIPA, easy drinking no sign of the alcohol.

Bought at the Hardywood Craft Brewery Taproom Richmond - 4 Pack Cans! Bottom of cans state 4/21/17! Beautiful artwork on can! Wish there was a poster!? Pours a slightly hazy gold with a good amount of hops up front! Tasting the hops but toward the end it loses something? Very clean tasting with hardly any bitterness! Very crushable but at 8.9% alcohol WatchOut! Don't know if this is better than The Great Return IPA they make!? Probably would stick to the dark beers they specialize in! Good Summer beer! Hey y'all try great beers and write in your reviews! Take care!

Poured a slightly obscured cloudy orange body with two-finger head and lace down the glass. Aroma was pleasant with a booming mix of tropical/grapefruit sweetness along with citric notes. Beer is mild on the sweetness and has a little bit of sweetness underneath a strong citric bite and has a clean finish.
