Notes of orange peel, lemon and apricot shine through on a foundation of wheat malt in this single hop IPA featuring the elusive Idaho 7 hop varietal.

L: Had this beer on-tap at Hardywood Park - West Creek, poured into a pint glass. Had a golden yellow color and a somewhat hazy consistency. Pretty good lacing.

S: A decent, but not outstanding, aroma of hops, malt, citrus, and an earthy quality.

T: Tasted of a good shot of malt (present throughout), lots of the advertised Idaho 7 hops, tons of the earthy quality (too much thereof), and some citrus notes (orange, lemon). Didn't really pick up the apricot. The problem with the flavor here is that the hops seem to produce the earthiness, which doesn't serve it well. The other ingredients don't have a chance to shine.

F: A solid amount of carbonation with a dry finish. Light-bodied.

O: Kind of a misfire. This one has its good points, but it doesn't quite work.

Trying not to be too biased on this one, Idaho 7 is a hop that personally I don't think ever needs to be used or even more so showcased. Hardywood doing so here, tastes like fermented potatoes and mushrooms
