Pours a deep dark brown, with tan head. Some chocolate and molasses on the nose. Burnt toast, a little smoke, rounded out with caramel and chocolate. I like this, but I'm not getting the grape brandy barrels and that's a huge bummer.

Very sweet; very dark, deep, and delicious. One of the best of the sweet stouts I've had. Wish I had a case of it. Had one bottle. Will I ever have another?
This was supposedly a 2018 release; but label is identical to 2017 release, so I'm not sure if it is the same bottling released a year later, or a new product. Either way it is just tremendous. A little more bitterness and darkness than some others. but it is a great balance. Increased hop presence seems to compensate for lack of something like coffee. Brandy flavor seems to put this in the superior, world- class category.
Got to give it a rare "5" as it is one of the best beers I've ever had. It beats Bourbon County, narrowly beats Black Tuesday, and gives some Trillium offerings a run for their money.

Burnt marshmallows in the nose, jet black with a mocha head. Sweet and boozy with a thick fudge finish. Caramel candies soaked in Zinfandel. Darn good.
