On-tap at Hardwood Park Craft Brewery, Richmond, VA
A: The beer is hazy yellow in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a collar of white bubbles around the edge of the glass.
S: Light aromas of strawberries and yeast are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and has stronger flavors of strawberries along with notes of yeast.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This is an interesting beer as the hefeweizen yeast profile is different than a traditional German version and doesn't have a strong flavors of bananas. You need to let the beer warm up to let the strawberries develop, which help to balance out the yeast flavors.
