Opaque deep brown with tawny port edges. Nose is full of booze, malt, and maple. Pours dense. Rich, creamy mouthfeel that has a chew to it. Malt, dried fruits, maple syrup, vanilla, wood, and a hint of booze. Full-flavored and full bodied. The coffee has died down a bit but is still lingering slightly in the finish. The maple is definitely present. Sticky sweetness and a finish that lingers. Lovely fat-bottomed ale.
