Presentation: 750mL brown bottle with a vintage date on the label. Served in a Rastal Harmony glass.
Appearance: It pours a beautiful, deep, extremely dark brown color with almost no head and it doesn't leave behind any lacing.
Smell: It's a rich aroma of pure vanilla bean, creamy, melted milk chocolate and figs. It starts to smell of warm chocolate chip cookies once it goes up in temperature a bit.
Taste: It's an exceptionally well balanced flavor profile. There's slightly bitter dark chocolate and roasted malt notes right away. Then some sweet brown sugar, and a lot of vanilla flavor show up and persist through the very long finish.
Mouthfeel: It's silky and oily but with a lighter than expected consistency which makes for an interesting texture. Carbonation is medium.
Overall: A vanilla bomb of a beer with a rich, silky texture and an awesome flavor. There's not much else to say other than this is yet another fantastic beer from Hardywood.
