Presentation: 750mL brown bottle with the vintage year on the label but no bottling date. Served in a Teku.
Appearance: A sliver of tan colored foam rises up after the pour but goes away almost immediately and leaves behind some lacing in small spots. It's pitch black with some dark brown showing up on the edges.
Smell: It's a strong, musty flavor of raw coconut, brown sugar, vanilla and damp wood.
Taste: There's a dark molasses sweetness at first followed by coconut and a slight peppery spiciness. It finishes with a bitter very dark chocolate flavor that's just decadent.
Mouthfeel: It's thick, rich and oily but goes down fairly easily. Carbonation is very low.
Overall: An awesome beer with a lot of complexity and an interesting flavor profile.
