SPACE 5/15/24
Poured into a BA 25th Ann teku — hell yeah!!

A: Medium amber slightly hazy with initially rocky light beige head but poor retention and no lacing.

S: tropical DOTS candy with at least moderate esters

T: tropical DOTS candy with tons of esters and low bitterness

M: Feel is weirdly tacky with a feeling like you slowly sucked down about 20 tropical flavored Jolly Ranchers

O: Definitely the worst IPA and beer I have had since Southern Tier Juice Jolt. Cannot recommend at all.

This is a review of a 12oz can. From the bottom of the can: "TASTES LIKE SPACE! 4/5/24 10:12"

Appearance: The body is a slightly darker shade of gold with a bit of haze. A ton of visible carbonation is visible through the glass. It has a medium-sized fluffy white head that churns with the ample carbonation rolling the surface of the beer. It has excellent head retention and it leaves some mild lacing.

Aroma: The beer has an almost candy-like aroma that could be considered sweet smelling. It smells a bit like cotton candy. It has notes of peach and tangerine and it smells a bit like a peach cobbler rather than raw fruit.

Taste: The flavor is very sweet with a bit of a candy flavor that isn't quite pleasant but still tastes a bit like candy. There is a weird character to the beer that is difficult to explain. It is a bit like a weird bitter and slightly sweet fruit that is old. In the first couple of sips on the beer it had some sweet malt character which was okay but it didn't meld with the overall beer flavor profile. Over time while drinking the beer it picked up some banana flavor as well. It just has too many odd flavors that don't mix in a pleasant manner.

Mouthfeel: It has a soft body that is a touch over medium. There is a mild bitterness to the beer. Aside from the awkward flavor drinkability is good.

Overall: This is a really weird beer because it smells like everything from peach cobbler to tangerines and cotton candy, but when it comes to the flavor the beer not only falls flat but it just outright tastes strange. I wanted to figure out what it was so I took a closer look at the can and in tiny words on the back it says "DOUBLE INDIA PALE ALE WITH NATURAL FLAVORS." It never states what those flavors are, but it makes me wonder if that has something to do with the odd flavor of the beer.

As a whole I don't recommend it because the flavor of a beer is a huge component and this one feels below average. I wouldn't buy it again.

From the 12 oz can, it pours a clear amber color with a modest white head that soon reduces to a thin layer. The nose gets some fruit and some alcohol. The mouth gets an odd flavor, possibly mango, and other tropicals.
