Had on tap at Meridian Pint. This was the batch aged on 4 Roses barrels.
Pours the darkest of brown, almost black, head is a bit thin, oily.
The nose smells of sweet bourbon. I get an odd smell of cookie dough. Dark chocolate, molasses, candied sugar.
Flavor is dark chocolate, vanilla, bourbon, brown sugar and oak. There is alot of the barrel on this.
This is very full-bodied, thick, and a bit chewey.
Overall, pretty nice. It is my understanding they have done several different barrels for this beer. Excited to see more of them.
