Tan khaki head with some lace. Color is an amber copper.
Flavor profile: floral and pine hops. Bready and caramel malts. Oak and some vanilla. Grapefruit citrus.
Mouthfeel: light bitterness and warming. Medium body. Ends sticky.
Overall, a fun beer to try. The barrel flavors showed but I could still taste the hops which is nice.

On tap at Liberty Station. Karbach brewed this in support of the Robert Garner Firefighter Foundation and named for the station he served. This is a blend of Mother in Lager and Rodeo Clown aged in oak barrels.
A: Pours a dark brown, almost black color. A two finger white head forms and gently recedes to a ring. Light lace is left behind.
S: Toasted malt is big up front. Sweet toffee, some wood, and a lingering bitterness.
T: Follows the nose. Toasted malt, toffee sweetness, light vanilla. The oak is apparent next. Then the aggressive hops and bitterness lingers. The hop flavor is kind of nondescript. Just late addition bitterness.
M/D: A full body and moderate carbonation. Crisp, but fairly smooth at the same time. Not hard to sip on. I got through the pint quickly enough, and I did enjoy it.
This is a decent combination. I can pick out both Mother in Lager, Rodeo Clown, and the oak. They certainly succeeded with what the were trying to do, and the cause is great of coarse. While I did enjoy the pint, overall not one of my favorites from the brewery.
