First, I’m not a big fan of this style. I will have a stout, on average, twice a year.
Look: What you’d expect, medium dark tan head, very dark coffee like appearance.
Smell: Not strong, some caramel, molasses, sweetness, a little roasted grain.
Taste: Very smooth, semisweet caramel, a hint of chocolate malts, a little coffee.
Mouthfeel: Surprisingly light, you definitely know it’s not a generic lager but it’s way lighter than I expected. Very drinkable.
Wow, I’m a fan. This is absolutely fantastic. I was given this one can by a friend at work, I’m going to put a sixer in the fridge tonight.

Really good, and just extra “refreshing” for a stout. It’s rather sweet, but a very crisp carbonation brings it out of being a syrupy mess. I was highly surprised and will definitely be picking this one up again!

My 666th beer review! Best Enjoyed By 040220 printed on bottom of can. So this has another 3 months in it. Picked it up from the grocery store as part of a $10 sixer mixer.
12oz can poured into Duvel tulip.
Appearance - Completely opaque black body with very thick chocolate brown head with tons of retention. Invincible retention. Medium candle drip stick. 5
Smell - Strong coffee. This is what I always imagine Guinness to be like in my mind, but it's never anything like this. Not even in the same 2 orders of magnitude. 4
Taste - Coffee, chocolate. 4.25
Mouthfeel - Smooth as hell. Astringent, bitter finish. 4
Overall - I thought this was a double stout based on its complexity and potency. Respect. 4

Served on tap in a pint glass
Appearance- The brew is served a deep brown color with a one finger head of tan colored foam. The head fades very slowly over time to leave tons of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell - The aroma of the brew is big of a roasted malt smell mixed with some dark cocoa and char. Along with these smells comes a touch of vanilla and a hint of toast.
Taste - The taste begins with a big roasted malt flavor with some drier cocoa tastes. The taste sweetens up a bit as it moves on with a little bit of caramel and vanilla joining in. Toward the end of the taste a nice char and light nut and earthy flavor join in and leave one with a nice roasted taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel- The beer has a thicker and heavier feel with a light carbonation. For the toasty and dark tastes the feel is great and makes for a nice hearty drInker.
Overall - A rich and more robust stout with a very rich and enjoyable taste.

Its easily drinkable in the Fall and Winter, but the finish has an overly alcoholic taste to it that takes away from middle chocolate stout mouthful. Its not overly sweet which is nice and it doesn't have much if any bitterness to it, yet the roasty, chocolate and coffee mouthful is there. If a friend brought over a 6 pack I wouldn't complain but I wont be purchasing another 6 pack for myself and the hunt continues for a great chocolate stout.

Appearance:
Black, Opaque. I could see some rising bubbles. Thick creamy beige head. Very good head retention. Leaves a nice lacing behind.
Aroma:
Rich, milk chocolate, cream, some dark roast and caramel.
Taste/Finish/Body:
Sweet (not overly sweet), milk chocolate, some dark roast, a little caramel. Hop bitterness is super low. Semi-dry, nutty finish, lingers pretty short. Medium bodied, creamy, smooth, low carbonation, drinkability is high.
Overall:
It's a good Chocolate Stout, but not as complex than most stout I've had.

Pours a pitch black color with a 1-2 finger width foamy head. Head retention is excellent as is lacing. Does have a pleasant dark chocolate aroma with a little bit of coffee thrown in. Light on the roasted malts, though. Taste is a little heavier than I expected given the alcohol content. Chocolate with coffee bitterness at the end. Some roastiness. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation.

The smell of chocolate with the tastes of Chocolate and Coffee. While I expected this to be a more malty heavier stout it ended up being a light and easy drinking beer.

Coal black pour with a nice foamy tan head. Roasted malt aroma with a bit of chocolate and coffee. Body is thinner than expect. Taste has some nice chocolate and cocoa flavors backed by a bit of roasted malt and a hint of espresso.
