A 12 ounce bottle dated 11/13/2020. Popped the top and it bubbled over from the bottle. Kind of a darker looking Porter with plenty carbonation. Has a molasses, brown sugar aroma and dark semisweet chocolate. I get a hint of coffee. Sticky sweet taste. It's a smooth Bourbon Barrel aged and not overly sweet. Overall an enjoyable brew.

Appearance: Deep amber in color, very dark amber before a strong light. A massive , fine-beaded tan head, wit superb retention crowns the body. The lacing is thick and chunky, ringing the glass in a jagged, but unbroken circle.
Aroma: This one presents strong aromas of bourbon, wood, and vinous alcohol, with a side of chocolate milk, offering an aroma that is entirely suggestive of a rich dessert.
Taste: The opening of the taste presents bitter cocoa and sweet coffee. Soon after, there are gracious and somewhat restrained flavors of barrel-aged alcohol. In all, the taste is suggested of a very well-rounded bourbon, quite mellow, and mildly warming. The alcohol is sweet and vinous, offering just a bit of warming late in the taste. The finish offers a bit of burnt malt to counter the sweetness, this seems perfectly harmonious. Finishes with a lengthy note of mild coffee, and faintly sweet alcohol.
Mouth feel: Fantastically rich, smooth and full, with just the slightest hint of carbonation.
Drinkability/Notes: Wonderful, very drinkable and quite gracious, as said earlier, it has the qualities of a dessert, and would pair well with one, something with chocolate, perhaps a mousse.
Presentation: Packaged in a custom eleven point two ounce brown glass bottle with a pry-off crown, served in a Guinness pint pub glass at the Lake House.

overall: light the other katz coffee bourbon barrel but this one is a thin mouthfeel. Just tastes/feels waterier than the other ones. I like the flavor but not the feel. I think it should feel "chewier"
