What Cheer, Netop? When Roger Williams arrived in Providence, Rhode Island in 1636, he was greeted by members of the native Narragansett tribe as a friend. This Bohemian-style Pilsner is designed to celebrate that sentiment. It's light, refreshing, clean and crisp -- the perfect beer for relaxing with friends and enjoying the moment.

Decent head production, but poor retention. Brew is a lovely pale lemon/straw yellow, perfectly transparent despite a ton of activity.
Classic pils aroma: grassy, peppery, herbal, and earthy. Only a touch of the pungently sweet pilsner malt. Restrained, but wholly appropriate.
Flavor is spot on, providing intermittent waves of pils malt sweetness, along with plenty of grass, earth, and bite. Honey and floral notes. Despite the very low IBU, this is a balanced brew, not at all coming across as overly malty.
Plenty of bite and liveliness; delightful.

On-tap 4/21/2017 at Doherty’s Ale House in Warwick, RI, served in a tapered pint glass.
A: The beer is a light gold color, with a thin white head that fades quickly and leaves a thin lace on the glass.
S: The aroma contains lager yeast, light caramelized malts and a touch of hops.
T: The taste starts out bready with flavors of lager yeast and a light malt character. Then some malt sweetness comes in. the hops presence is very mild and brings some balance. The after-taste is slightly bready and slightly sweet.
M: Crisp and a little smooth, light-to-medium body, medium carbonation, finish is slightly sticky.
O: A little tasty, goes down easily, not too filling, mild kick, decent representation of style, this is a decent beer to drink for a while.
