Pale yellow brew, nearly transparent. Head production, retention, and lacing are excellent.
Nose features pilsner malts; tea and tannins are present on the nose if you know to look for them, but are fairly subtle. Hops - which should be the focus in an IPL - are restrained, featuring pepper, pine, and light citrus.
Flavor follows, with peppery spice up front, quickly giving way to sweet, earthy malts - again, implying pilsner malt. Hops are not particularly prominent, featuring citrus peel and pith, as well as pine, and milder tropical notes.
Very lively, with plenty of sting.

Bomber to lager glass, the appearance was a hazy burnt copper golden color with a two finger semi-rocky white foamy head that fell off at a moderate pace. Some light stringy lace. The aroma had an interesting blend of semi-spicy hops to some piney bitter hops and some green tea and lime sliding in underneath. The flavor was a semi-sweet to spicy combination of the hops to the tea taste. Aftertaste was quaint and semi-smooth, sly sweet. Finish was brisk, somewhat tea-like but not too much. The palate was almost medium bodied but falling short just a pinch yet making a pretty good sessionably smooth feel not too harsh along my tongue. Overall, pretty decent India pale lager, that tea thing is a bit different for this style, but I didn’t get the mint that was supposedly in this.

On-tap 9/13/2016 at Doherty’s East Ave Irish Pub in Pawtucket, RI, served in a tapered pint glass.
A: The beer is a light gold color, with a large white head that fades slowly and leaves a thick lace on the glass.
S: The aroma contains fruity citrus, grassy hops, lager yeast and light caramelized malts.
T: The taste starts out with a burst of grassy hops bitterness followed by some citrus sweetness. Then some breadiness from lager yeast and a light malt character brings a little bit of balance. The after-taste is slightly sweet.
M: Crisp and a little smooth but watery, light-to-medium body, medium carbonation, finish is slightly sticky.
O: A little tasty, goes down ok, not too filling, mild kick, decent representation of style, there are definitely better choices available within the style.
