This one from my man Larry @tasterschoice62 was screaming for me tonight. Vintage 2018 9% pours near midnight black with a solid finger mocha head that leaves some thick lace behind as it slowly settles. 4.25

Smell is is coffee, dark chocolate, dates, biscuit, vanilla, and hints of oaky bourbon. 4

Taste follows roasty coffee, dark chocolate, Oaked vanilla, dates, and just a nice hint of charred bourbon. 4

Mouthfeel is bigger than medium, gentle carbonation, a tad dry as expected, and drinks bigger than its ABV but still very approachable and easy siping. 4

Overall this is a very nice BA Stout from a brewery I am not very familiar with. 4

Sampling a 2018 vintage in a 16 oz can. Pouring at cellar temperature into a snifter. Picked up the can directly from the brewery.
The beer pours a thick viscous cola brown to black hue. A creamy dense tan head foams up 3.5 cm with a gentle pour. The foam fades slowly to a sturdy surface layer, leaving via some pockmarked craters and windowpane lattice. Foam still remains as a sturdy edge layer throughout the sampling.
The aroma is roasted malt and dark chocolate with vanilla and a healthy dose of bourbon. Maybe a little pure booze too, this is a hefty complex beer judging from the nose. I dont get any hop presence on the nose either.
First sip reveals an average to thick body with mild spacious, almost nonexistant carbonation. Slightly coating texture that lingers on my palate long after each swallow, covering my mouth.
Flavor is roasted malt and dark chocolate mixing with some brown sugar and molasses too. There is a hit of bourbon and some charred notes or maybe black peppery booze that comes in on the finish. Could also be anice flavor. I dont get any hops here either. This is a bit of a sipping beer and is very enjoyable. Glad to have had the opportunity to try it. Wish I had another can!

Great to see a different version of Juliett, which is a great stout. Very sweet upfront and after the sip. Not boozy at all. Would want to see that this tastes like aged a bit.
