Diving into the deep end, our offshore inspired pale ale is a brew with a bite. The shining sun coloring glides by with a hop aroma that’s stubbornly bold. Paddle past the standard and enjoy the perfect beer for the oceanic state of mind.

Excellent head production, with nearly two fingers of snow white foam. Similarly excellent retention and lacing. Body is lemon yellow and surprisingly cloudy.
Very neutral and restrained nose. Citrus definitely comes through, along with pepper and clean pale malts. Mild pine and tropical notes, but the most prominent tones are lemon, grapefruit, and orange, with mango, banana, and pineapple very much in the background. No stray or errant notes; very clean and inviting.
Similar to the nose, there is some banana and lemon on the palate, along with pale malt and citrus peel - the latter in particular on the finish - but overall it's not a flavor profile that jumps out. Some banana and honeyed cracker. Mild butter tones.
Light and easy drinking.
At 4.7%, this brew has a fuller feel and body than most APAs and session IPAs, but it has the same problem with flavor: there just isn't enough of it. It's very drinkable, and it doesn't quite fall into the hoppy seltzer water trap of so many session IPAs, but neither does it carry the more developed malt base of a heavier APA. For such a low ABV offering, this probably hits the mark as far as for what the brewery was aiming, and it's refreshing and crushable, if that's your thing.
The little bit of butter flavor is a little off-putting, but I'm not willing to call it diacetyl based on this one sample. I've never had that problem with Revival beers before, so I think this is likely more due to the malt base used. It's also less strong than typical diacetyl effects. Regardless, it isn't a flavor note I find particularly pleasant, and in a beer this light, there isn't much to counterbalance it.
