A reenvision of our Bushido Pumpkin Ale. This brew is suited up and flavored with ginger, lemongrass, pumpkin and now blood orange. Samurai “BOB” was fermented with a blend of Lager and Sake yeast, crafting an untraditional take on a seasonal tradition that is crisp, bitter, and tastes killer.

Part of a flight at the brewery
Pours a deep amber/honey color
Aromas of sweet spices like cinnamon and nutmeg, with a light fruitiness and floral hops
The taste is a bit overpowering, mostly spicy more than anything else with a pithy grapefruit note to finish it off
Finishes thin like most of their brews I’ve tried but not awful
Overall a perplexing brew, I wanted to like it more than I do but it’s not bad for what it is, despite the fact that I taste no pumpkin at all

Dark caramel color, very lively, with good head production, OK retention, and very nice lacing. Brew is nearly transparent despite the dark color and liveliness.
Clove, cinnamon, pumpkin, orange, brown sugar, caramel, white grapes, banana, toast, honey, ginger; inviting, malty, sweet nose.
Very dry and spicy on the palate; nutmeg, ginger, orange peel, caramel grains, and pumpkin; slightly tart. The wave of flavors becomes a bit muddled; what was intriguing and inviting on the nose becomes confusing.
Smooth on the palate; easy to drink despite the high ABV.
