A light farmhouse ale, this beer is a blend of our barrel aged Berliner Weisse & Saison. Light and highly drinkable, FOMA has just a kiss of barrel, a light Brett funk and a gentle cheek puckering tartness. Refreshing and drinkable.

sample at bar hop, dec 17 2015. 4.2% abv barrel-aged berliner weisse/saison blend with peaches
a: opaque pale colour-deficient lemonade with frothy white head
s: tart and funky nose with light raspberry and peach scents
t: tart, woody, funky, and peachy up front, tapering off hard mid-way. wheat and cracker flavours on the finish accompanied by a woody bitterness
m: light, well-carbonated feel. not watery. drying feeling at the end
o: my first berliner weisse ever isn't quite 100% a berliner weisse but it was enjoyable nonetheless. modest fruit characteristics with a solid barrel presence
