Review from notes. LCBO purchase for around $4.75 CDN. This was consumed very fresh.
Appearance - Mildly hazy bright golden orange brew with multiple fingers of cascading white head. Lots of lacing.
Smell - Big bold citrus notes, grapefruit is most prominent with a touch of cantaloupe and melon.
Taste - Assertively bitter, grapefruit shines again with cantaloupe, some wheaty qualities in the background and a bit hot, the booze is ever-present.
Mouthfeel - Full bodied, boozy and with a dry finish. Just right for a big heavy hitting IPA.
Overall - Binary System reinforces the notion that Sawdust City is among the best IPA brewers in the province, a step down from GLB, but pretty close with Flying Monkeys and Collective Arts. Top notch brew that I hope to get to try more of.
