On tap at Session 2012. Into a tulip.
Reddish brown with an offwhite head. Good retention and some lace. Nose has strong malt and tropical hop notes, but feels a bit 'old' (kinda how big, malty imperial IPAs - ie. Dreadnaught - smell when they've been sitting around for a while). Quite dank and resinous nonetheless. Taste offers a more herbal and grassy hop profile, a bitter from the get-go. Only mild tropical notes, and the caramel malt flavours are still substantial. Big, full mouthfeel and a bit of alcohol. Bitter and moderately drying. An OK DIPA, but not really up my alley.
