Brewed according to tradition with classic ingredients from Germany, the motherland of bier. German malts, hops, and special yeast from a famous Munich characterize the brew with toasty, caramelized malt notes and a nutty flavor. At 5.5% ABV this Oktoberfest is the perfect way to transition from light summer beers to hearty winter ales.

Amber color, slight citrus and toast on the nose. Good mouth feel. With mild bitterness. Could have done with more. Citrus and woods on the taste. The can was 2 months out of date. I don’t know how much a beer can change from being brand new to old.

Apppearance: Clear, medium amber. Fluffy head with good retention.
Aroma: Very little hops aroma - tad spicy. Bready malt.
Taste: Bready malt, slight toast, restrained bitterness.
Mouth feel: Soft, medium bodied. Moderate carbonation. Short finish.
Overall: Admittedly disappointed in this Marzen. Had read/heard some good things about it last year 2018. This is the first year I tried it. It's not a bad beer, just not very much of a stand out. Could use some more spicy and/or floral aroma.

Poured from 12oz can into glass. Best by 'FEB 12 2019'.
Cloudy, medium amber colored body. Quarter finger of head upon initial pour, dissipates to a skiff and a ring. No lacing.
Quite aromatic with toasted, nutty malts, and some floral hops.
Taste is rough, with unbalanced toasted malts, with a nutty accent, along with the floral hops.
Thin to medium mouth feel. Good carbonation.
This beer does not have the right balance of slightly sweet malts, with a little caramel, and the spicy, floral hops. Instead it expresses a roughness and a slight sour after taste.

Amber brown, clear body. Almost no head
Grain at first, then cinnamon, brown sugar, nutmeg, acorn
Woody malts, grain, brown sugar, cereal
Medium-light body, no carbonation
It's not rich or complex and the feel is way off, pretty flat pour. But the smell and taste is okay

Look: It pours copper-orange with an off white head and low head retention.
Smell: It has some caramel and toasty aromas. There is also a slight hint of herbal notes.
Taste: There are combinations of caramel, toast and nuts. There is a bitterness twang from herbal and slight citrus. I
Feel: t has a moderate body.
Overall, the twang throws the flavor off a bit, but the malty flavors work well together.

This is hands-down the worst Oktoberfest or marzen style beer I've ever had. Maybe I got a bad batch or something.
It's a murky brown color and is not remotely clear enough for the style. It has a chemically tart smell that overpowers any toast or caramel that should be there. It tastes tart and phenolic, and there's no malty sweetness at all which is the normal marzen character. I would bet money that there were problems with the yeast during fermentation. There's also an aftertaste like old grain, and its slightly astringent.
A bad beer in general, a terrible Oktoberfest.

Poured from a 12 oz can into a pint glass. BB dated Feb. 2018.
Appearance – the body has an orange-copper color and is topped by a moderate size, bone-colored head. The head has limited retention and leaves little lace on the side of the glass.
Aroma – mild mix of spicy and herbal hops, and caramel malts.
Flavor – Follows the nose. Mild strength and bitterness with good hop/grain balance.
Mouthfeel – Medium body and soft carbonation; nicely smooth.
Overall: A mainstream Oktoberfest.

Drank straight out of the can(I know I know) so can't comment on the looks although a frothy head bubbled out of the top upon opening which was nice to see. Very malty and nutty on the nose. Nothing too special regarding the scent but smells fresh and toasty. Very smooth carbonation and mouthfeel, with a bombardment of nuts and toasty malts just before the clean malt forward finish. There's something about this beer that just does it for me! A very enjoyable beer and one of the better domestic oktoberfest brews I've had for sure. I look forward to showing up at the store again.
