Unfortunately, this was infected. Used to be a time that I'd just not rate something that was infected and give the brewery a pass. We've come too far for that- you make a barrel aged beer, then it had better be good. If it's not, then bite the financial bullet and hold it.

Opaque brown body with a light tan head.
Vanilla, bourbon, and roasted malts in the nose, in that order. Watery body: markedly more watery than any other stout I can recall. Too much vanilla: it dominates the nose and the aftertaste.
