On tap and (months later) a 12 oz can.
Murky brown - copper body with s decent white head.
Some resemblance to a berry waffle, but with a hop load that takes this from sweet to mildly bitter.

A: Purplish, reddish, brown color, 1 inch beige colored head, good lacing

S: Blueberry, candy

T: Sweet malty taste, blueberries come in but then there is a bite of alcohol and belgian yeasty goodness. Really great tasting beer.

M: Medium

O: Man, I really like this beer. I was looking for something with a blueberry taste and this one sure delivered that but with so much more. The Belgian flavor is there as well, a must try in my opinion.

Appearance: Pours cloudy, rich caramel color

Smell: smells like a blueberry waffle. sweet and bready.

Taste: Surprisingly good. I have not enjoyed blueberry beers in the past. but this is actually not bad. A little sweet, but not at all cloying or syrupy - except for the flavors of actual syrup. Slightly boozy, but surprisingly balanced for 8%. Taste develops into more blueberries and syrup.

Not something I expected to enjoy, based on my past experiences. To my surprise, this was quite good - so long as you don't take it too seriously.

Appearance - Pours muddled purplish color with decent off white head not much lacing.

Aroma - As soon as I cracked the can I could smell the sweet berries. It really kind of smells like a blueberry waffle, blueberry and raspberries, little yeast and a bready aroma like waffles.

Taste - The first thing I think of is blueberry syrup, I can also taste the waffle the name pretty much describes the beer. It is pretty sweet with a hint of tartness.

Feel - Light side of medium well carbonated just a touch of dryness.

Overall - I have to admit I like this beer, it is well balanced sweet and tart, they hit the mark with what they were trying to do.

Pours cloudy reddish-purplish deep amber/pale brown producing 3 fingers of lasting, foamy, tan with a reddish tint head that leaves a small amount of spotty, streaky lace. Aroma is blueberry, bready pancake/waffle, candy sugar, Belgian fruity esters of apple & pear followed by Belgian yeast funk & faint clove, honey & banana. Taste is certainly VERY blueberry & waffle, candy sugar, Belgian funk & yeasty apple & pear with a buried citrus hint. Very faint coriander & clove. Finishes wet, spicy & fruity developing a thin bitterness which transitions into a short-lived dry fruity, yeasty aftertaste. The blueberry becomes more intense as the brew warms eventually leading to a cloying perfuminess. Alcohol well hidden in the nose but is more active in the mouth as spice, bitterness & warmth in the finish & aftertaste. Alcohol becomes much more prominent as the brew warms. Mouthfeel is medium-bodied with moderate carbonation, wet, juicy, oily & lightly chewy.

Best By MAR 16 2017.

Appearance: Pours a lightly hazed, reddish-tinged body with an off-white head.

Smell: Certainly a blueberry bent about it atop the lightly bready malts and Eggo and booze.

Taste: Bready, hinting of frozen waffle with a hard-hitting caramel and blueberry syrup sweetness. Some play by the yeast underneath the sweetness, hinting of some spicy aided by the peppery alcohol hotness. Sweet, hot finish.

Mouthfeel: Medium-plus body. Medium carbonation. A little sticky on the mouthfeel.

Overall: There is no excuse for this.

Poured from a 12 OZ can into a pint glass. The appearance is a slightly cloudy dull amber color with a large thick white head. The aroma is blueberries and sweet yeast. The tazte is a very sweet blueberry waffle. Very good.
