16 oz can. Pours slightly hazy dark yellow with a medium fizzy white head that goes to a thin film that leaves little lacing.
The aroma is bready malts with some banana.
The flavor is sweet bready yeasty malts with a little banana. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with some spritzy carbonation.
Overall, an OK hefe. Very yeasty and bready with light banana.

This was a fantastic refreshing beer, I normally don't like canned beer but this was refreshing and had a small head. This was well worth it, like a previous reviewer I wish they put out their brews more consistently and expanded distribution as they would make a killing on this beer.

oskar blues makes some really tasty beer, the problem is that they don't package much of it, and just recycle the same old stuff to the shelves. the truth is that they have some awesome beers, just none are packaged. this hefeweizen would kill it in cans for the summer, I'm surprised they won't put it out. tap only on this one for the time being. a rather authentic hefe, pale blonde and yeasty, with a tall lacy white head with outstanding retention. not as banana heavy as others, more of a fruit bouquet, with apples and pears as part of it, breakfasty almost to me. slight spice, hefty wheat and the fruity yeasty finish in the taste. its simple drinking stuff for summer, with great carbonation, sessional alcohol content, and a very refreshing overall vibe. not a ton of good readily available colorado made beers in this style on shelves, i would love to see this land in sixers, i think they would do really well. nice glass of beer here, very authentic.
